Overview
Satmaster Pro, is a tool mainly used for preparing satellite link budgets and predicting sun outage events. A usable demo version, with omissions, is available to download for evaluation or for use as a file reader.

The Mk10.x series includes some significant revisions and removal of obsolete code whilst retaining its familiar interface.
Link Budget Calculators and Other Features
Full up-down link budget calculators with input provision for uplink power control (UPC), ALC, various interferences and multiple carriers. Finds HPA size, uplink power requirements, bandwidth and power usage per carrier. Calculates atmospheric losses and rain fade margins for a desired availability. Handles 1 bit/symbol (BPSK), QPSK, M-PSK/M-APSK or M-QAM with modcod selectors for DVBS, DVBS2, DVBS2-X, NS3, NS4 desides manual modcods. Determines power or bandwidth limited modes and calculates the power equivalent bandwidth, if appropriate.

Due to the huge size of the P.837-7 rain-rate mapping grid (0.125 x 0.125 degrees), the DEMO VERSION employs a reduced resolution of 0.5 x 0.5 degrees. This more compact download significantly improves on the previous 1.125 x 1.125 resolution of P.837-6. In most areas, this reduced grid resolution does not affect results excessively after bi-linear interpolation.

Usage and System Requirements
Satmaster Pro is written in C/C++ and compiled to a single executable file. Once downloaded, the software does not need or use an internet connection. The optional CLI program 'satmaster.exe', installed by default in the folder C:\Satmater, is self contained and portable.

Once licensed, there are no extra update charges for an entire integer series release (e.g. 10.0, 10.1, 10.2 etc) delivered by web download. A single user license allows installation and use on 2 computers (eg desktop and laptop) provided there is no shared usage with other persons. Minimum system requirements are x86 processor, Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10 with 1024*768 display resolution. There are reduced upgrade prices for previous integer series users (eg 8.x or 9.x).
